Antique copper coal scuttle bucket

Also known as an ash bucket, it has such character. Lovely piece for a floral arrangement. It's solid copper with brass legs and a brass and wood handle. At the base of the handles are ornate brass lions heads. It was traditionally used for carrying hot coals to a stove or fireplace. The legs were an added feature that kept the heat from perhaps touching the Persian rug. Very old with the original patina still on it. superb for everyday use. excellent materials and excellent craftsmanship ensure long-lasting durability.
